The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Mo
tocross Championship features the world’s fastest outdoor mo
tocross racers, racing aboard the best bikes each fac
tory offers, on the roughest,
toughest tracks in the world. Mo
tocross racing is survival of the fittest as well as the fastest every weekend; it’s where legends like Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, James Stewart, and Ryan Villopo
to were built.
The newest member of the Alli family of action sports, Mo
tocross is the original extreme action sport, and the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Mo
tocross Championship is the pinnacle of pure mo
tocross. The 12-rounds series, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, begins in California on Memorial Day weekend in May and ends in Pennsylvania on Labor Day weekend in September. It includes s
tops at the premier mo
tocross racing facilities in America, with events in Colorado, Texas, Massachusetts, Washing
ton, New York, Maryland and Michigan. The pro riders meet up on Saturday afternoon, with competition divided in
to two classes: one for 250cc bikes, and one for 450cc machines. Also, eight of the rounds feature the rapidly-growing Pro Women’s Mo
tocross Championship, and the final round features Pro ATV Mo
tocross.
Each track presents its own unique blend of jumps, hills, corners and whoops, but all the races run under the same format: two thirty-minute-plus-two lap mo
tos (races) per class, with the scores from each race combined
to determine the overall winner. The competition also tests fitness, as mo
tocross at this speed is arguably the most physically demanding sport in the world.
The AMA Pro Mo
tocross Championship began in 1972. Back then, American riders were still learning the ropes from their European counterparts who invented the sport. They learned soon, though, and ultra-competitive riders like Bob Hannah, Marty Smith, Jimmy Weinert,
Tony DiStefano, and Kent
Hower
ton pushed the sport
to new heights.
By the early-1980s, American stars were leading the way, as the likes of Rick Johnson, Broc Glover, Mark Barnett, Jeff Ward, Johnny O’Mara, and David Bailey met
to battle at every round, surpassing the European masters in speed and technique.
Those men paved the way for modern legends like Jeff Stan
ton and Damon Bradshaw, Jeremy McGrath and Jeff Emig, and of course Ricky Carmichael, who became known as “the GOAT,” which stands for “Greatest Of All-Time,” after his amazing run at the
top landed him ten consecutive AMA Pro Mo
tocross Championships.
Mo
tocross fans are a unique breed of action sport consumer – edgy, energetic, enthusiastic, and athletic. Mo
tocross is a lifestyle sport, and for 12 weekends each summer, the best athletes on the planet do battle on the
toughest tracks in the land. The real winners are the thousands of fans who get a spot at the fence and cheer for their heroes through every second of the action. 2011 will mark the his
toric 40th season of American Mo
tocross.

Buchanan, Michigan’s RedBud is the centerpiece of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Mo
tocross Championship. Located just above the Michigan-Indiana state line, RedBud is among the most highly regarded mo
tocross tracks in the world, and July Fourth weekend there is one of the region’s biggest events in general. Located in the beautiful rolling hills of southwestern Michigan – a state with an affinity for off-road recreational vehicle use – RedBud has bragging rights
to claim the largest attendance of any U.S. mo
tocross race, year after year. With just the right soil mix, plenty of room for passing, and the biggest jump on the circuit - the infamous LaRocco’s Leap, named after local legend Mike LaRocco - RedBud is the
top mo
tocross destination in a region that loves its mo
torsports. And the loyal Michigan fans’ chants of “Red Buuuuud!!!” are well-known throughout the mo
tocross world.
One winter nearly forty years ago, Valparaiso, Indiana’s Gene Ritchie
took a trip
to Buchanan for a snowmobile race. He rode around the property, imagining that a great mo
tocross track could be carved in
to the hills and fields. When that property came up for sale in 1972, Ritchie pursued his dream of creating a national-caliber mo
tocross track. He and his wife, Nancy, found some willing partners and purchased the property. The Ritchies, the Pattersons, and the Millers built their dream track and began holding races in 1973.
RedBud held its first AMA Mo
tocross National in 1974, and it was won by another local mo
tocross star, Hadley, Michigan’s Mike Hartwig. The facility also hosted Trans-AMA races each fall, often featuring battles between the world’s best rider at the time, Roger DeCoster, and America’s best, Bob “Hurricane” Hannah.
Within a few years, the original partners moved on and the Ritchie family relocated
to Michigan
to become full-time mo
tocross promoters. Gene opened a bike shop, Red Bud Cycle, selling Bultacos and Maicos near the track entrance. The shop mechanic, a local teenage MX racer, became the centerpiece of the Friday night MX intermission s
hows; that teen was the late “Wheelie King”, Doug Domokos, who went on
to set world records and wow fans around the globe with his wheelie s
hows and spectacular stunts.
Other stars emerged from the RedBud amateur races,
too, most notably the Bomber, Mark Barnett from nearby Bridgeview, Illinois, Michigan’s five-time Women’s National Champ Lisa (Akin) Wagner (now on staff at RedBud!), six-time AMA MX and SX Champ Jeff Stan
ton and of course, “the Rock”, Mike LaRocco.
Also, since 2005, RedBud has played host
to the second round of the Monster Energy Triple Crown of Mo
tocross, a series-within-the-series where a rider can earn a $50,000 bonus if he sweeps all three rounds. Over the years, only Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart have managed
to pull it off. For 2009, the Monster Energy Triple Crown of Mo
tocross returns again
to RedBud (as well as High Point and Budds Creek) and will be s
hown live on NBC.
RedBud is also one of four rounds on the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Mo
tocross Championships schedule which will host the FMF Two-Stroke Invitational, which will bring back the sights and sounds (and pre-mix smell) of two-stroke mo
tocross bikes. Check it all out on July Fourth weekend, 2009, at RedBud!

It all started with a simple idea and steadily became “An Army of ONE”.
The army began assembling in the heart of San Diego, California back in 1997. The simple idea of creating the most innovative, high quality mo
torcycle graphics rapidly progressed in
to a complete line of leading edge products that redefined industry standards.
Long recognized as the world leader in graphic kits and seat covers, the ONE brand has grown
to become a leading force in helmets, mo
tocross apparel and casual wear. While the company has grown, the philosophy remains the same and the focus is always
to make the best products we possibly can. Mo
tocross is the
toughest sport in the world. We have spent countless hours with some of the most talented names in all of mo
tocross, fueling our passion of creating products that can endure the many battles that occur in a championship season.
Our goal is simply
to win.
But, we will do this by never forgetting our roots and maintaining our core focus on the products and sport where our passion was born. ONE products don't only look cool, but they are created by pushing the limits of technology while combining a style that is unique
to us. We focus on delivering creativity, innovation and quality with a unique element that no one else has. We look beyond borders and take part in battles on mo
tocross and supercross tracks around the world. If there is a race, you will find us there. Every day we dream about
how to make the ride even better.
There is no finish line.

We’ve made suspension for 35 years, so we know
how to design and manufacture the best suspension you can buy. We started out as an engineering company and things haven’t changed. We focus on making high performance products without compromise. This philosophy doesn’t always go over well with the bean counters, but our owner is an engineer — and the boss is always right!
We design suspension solutions for the sports of ATV, Mountain Biking, Mo
tocross, Off-road and Snowmobile. We know that passion is what drives you out on the trails and tracks of this world. It is this passion that pushes us
to make unequalled suspension.
At FOX Racing Shox, we race what we sell, and we race what we manufacture on our production line. We take product off the assembly line and send it
to our world class sponsored athletes, confident that it will perform flawlessly. We know there is no harsher test of a product’s worthiness than
to mount it on
to a professional athlete’s race machine, so we utilize the world’s best testers — our sponsored athletes — as an integral part of our product development process.
We are a racing based, product driven company and we don’t limit our winning, performance driven attitude
to just the race course. It happens everyday at FOX. And really, that’s the reason the products come out the way that they do. Our founder, Bob Fox, said, “It’s a competitive world out there — it’s a Darwinian world. Our goal is
to make the best product a cus
tomer can buy. That’s where we started; that’s where we are
today. We are not going
to sit back and say we’re done. We’re never done.”

Years back a group of close friends went on a journey starting from the rainy hills of Ireland, down

to describe our wolf pack of friends. We soon after trademarked the word, which symbolized our way of life and every mission from that point on. Ethika is about you being you, and going after your dreams…
